Be a Patient

“We begin with you, exactly where you are. On the other side of pain is personal power: on the other side of challenge is strength and resilience. When you work with our practitioners, we are with you every step of the way: we’ll stop the hurt; return you to functioning; and together, we’ll find positive vision and hope.”

—Alan “Tony” Amberg, APRN PMHNP-BC

“Clients I refer to Tony invariably say the psychiatrists they saw in the past did not create the kinds of relationships with them that Tony does. Many go with skepticism, having tried medication in the past without being helped. Tony is attentive to clients after prescribing, stays attuned to any effects his patients are experiencing, and quickly responds with necessary changes. I have watched people who had been intensively engaged in therapy for issues as diverse as severe PTSD, lifelong depression, and substance abuse, make further progress under Tony’s careful ministrations. It has been a pleasure to work with a pharmacologically informed provider who is so knowledgeable and responsive.”

Nancy Peltzman, LCSW, Psychoanalyst

Living with a psychiatric disorder can be tough. Ordinary things that should make you happy, don’t. Ordinary relationships become difficult. Even if you’re succeeding, sometimes you just can’t feel it.
